Frank Edward Thompson

Frank Edward Thompson died unexpectedly on October 1, 2013.
He was born on August 27, 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky to Dr. Edward and Wanda (Smith) Thompson.
Frank graduated from Limestone High School in 1981 and earned a degree in Science and Business at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. He studied Fishery Biology at the University of Maine at Orono, followed by graduate work in immunology at the University of Pennsylvania. Frank received his RN from the Northern Maine Technical College and practiced nursing for 20 years.
Frank had a special love for fishing, astronomy, playing chess and winning several tournaments.
He was predeceased by his father, Dr. Edward Thompson and by his uncle, Melvin Smith.
He is survived by his son, Sean Thompson, his mother, the Rev. Wanda Thompson; his sister, Elizabeth and her husband Duane Armstrong and nephew, Robert.
Frank will be forever in our hearts, forever in our lives here until we are all together again on the other side.
Frank’s memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at St. George's Episcopal Church, 1 Emerson St., in Sanford, Maine.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank’s memory for the Reconnecting Youth Ministry, St. George’s Episcopal Church, 3 Emerson St., Sanford, ME 04073.
