Janet D. Knight 51, of Newfield, passed away peacefully with her loving husband Wayne and sister Paula by her side on March 18, 2019.

Janet was born on October 22, 1967 in Kittery, the daughter of Clarence and Ernestine (Reeves) Fenderson and was a graduate of Wells High School, while attending Wells High School, she enjoyed being part of their softball team.

Janet met her love, Wayne, while caring for his mother and they were married in 1992. As the years together passed, their devotion for each other only grew. Wayne’s love and dedication to his wife became more apparent as Janet’s health declined over the past several years.

Janet loved living in Newfield; the tranquil lifestyle allowed her and Wayne to enjoy spending time outdoors together. Janet also enjoyed a good fishing hole and casting her rod, taking long drives, doing cross stitch and playing various games.

A diehard NASCAR fan, Janet was able to watch her “Candyman” Kyle Busch’s race, which became his 200th NASCAR victory.

Janet was loved by all that had the opportunity to spend time with her, especially her closest friend and first cousin “Dottie,” she will be fondly remembered as kind, light hearted and hard working.

Janet enjoyed working and had a passion for Medical billing. She also worked at the Maine Turnpike and was the most “fabulous” breakfast cook at Congdon’s Donuts in Wells.

Janet is lovingly survived by her husband Wayne, her fur babies Jake and LeRoy (Bug) Brown, her brothers Jeffrey Fenderson and Joseph Fenderson of Limerick; as well as her sister Paula Fenderson-Carl and her husband Michael of New York.

Janet’s family will be having a celebration of her life on May 4, 2019 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. at The Trailblazers, 102 Bills Lane in Wells.
