Valerie Beth Baron (Camire), 40, joined the angels on July 18, 2019.
Valerie was born in Biddeford, Maine on May 15, 1979 to Roger and Carol (Moreau) Camire.
Valerie or “Val” as most of her close friends and family called her graduated from Massabesic High School with the class of 1997.
Growing up in Lyman with her parents, Val spent a good part of her childhood enjoying the outdoors with her brother Brian, close friends and many cousins all around her. The ‘Lyman Crew’ was an integral part of her early life. Val was a Girl Scout who loved camping and swimming. During her childhood she was very involved in her church family at St. Philips in Lyman. She gave her time as an alter girl, participated in the choir and worked many church fairs. Val enjoyed her teen years with her group of close friends around her. Together with the girls they visited her brother Brian at college, drove many miles to NH for trips to the lake all the while laughing and signing along to Willie Nelson tapes. After high school Val began her lifelong career helping others. She worked as a nurse, assisted adults with disabilities and despite this hard work she remained a constant source of love and light for her patients.
Val came into her own when she became a mother to Riley, Esmee, and Emma and a wife to Matt. She was selfless in her role as a mother always thinking of the kids before herself. Val made sure the kids had the best opportunities to learn and experience the most out of life. Even during her illness when she was tired and sick she pushed on to take the kids to do activities. She provided them with the resources they would need after she was gone. Val’s love of animals lives on through Riley. Val and Riley worked together at the Cat Shelter where Val pushed Riley to volunteer. Val’s spunky quick wit and strength lives on through Esmee who Val loved to watch play Softball. Val’s sweet disposition and kindness lives on through Emma who Val loved to listen to read books.
Val married her husband Matt and they had 10 wonderful years together. Together Matt and Val loved to ride Matt’s motorcycle, go for hikes and camp. They shared a love for Matt’s cooking. Matt won Val’s heart with his Eggplant Parmesan. Val loved Matt with all of her heart.
Val is survived by her husband Matt, her children: Riley Robitaille, Esmee and Emma Baron; her father and step-mother Roger and Mary Camire; her brother Brian and sister-in-law Laurie Camire, along with her niece Graceyn and her nephew Lucien, and her maternal grandmother, Bessie Moreau and her paternal grandmother Frances Camire. Val is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Val also leaves behind the sisterhood and many other close friends who were more like family to her. Val was predeceased by her mother Carol Camire in 2017 and by her mother-in-law Connie Baron in 2018.
