Judith E. Dutton, 76, of Keywood in Alfred, passed peacefully with her loving husband Paul by her side, on October 17, 2019, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
Judy was born on March 4, 1943, in Boston, Massachusetts the daughter of Fred T. and Evelyn V. (Johnson) Coffin, Jr.
Judy worked in banking when she was younger at the 2nd National Bank in Nashua, NH and at Nashua Federal Savings and Loan bank. Her heart was to be a mother to her three sons, Stephen, Andrew and Jeffrey and a loving, supportive wife to Paul. It was Judy’s wish to celebrate her 58th wedding anniversary with Paul; and with the wonderful support from the caregivers at Gosnell, they bought a wedding cake and celebrated with close friends and Paul by her side. What wonderful memories and words to help her cross over into eternal peace.
In 1986, they moved from Hudson, NH and made their home in Standish for 17 years and then moved to Keywood in 2002. Judy loved her many friendships and supportive community there. She had her morning coffee with her friends in the community center each Tuesday. In the past three years, Judy was in charge of their annual Craft Fair. (It will be held on Nov. 3rd) Judy was a very talented artist, who loved sewing and the arts. Paul shared in sequence what Judy loved: The arts, next came her cats, Spooky, Sara and Vivian and then her hubby!
She and Paul liked to go to Shain’s of Maine for a lobster roll, chowder and they shared an ice cream in a cup with a sugar cone on top! In Paul’s eyes, Judy was his Best Wife, Best Girl, and Best Friend. . .
Judy is lovingly survived by her husband of 58 years, Paul Dutton of Alfred; her son Stephen N. Dutton and wife Mary of Inverness, Florida; her five grandchildren; her brother, Neil T. Coffin of Chelmsford, MA and her sister Janet E. Larkin of Mass. She was predeceased by her two sons, Andrew and Jeffrey.
