Tammy started Autumn Green Funeral Home with one goal in mind; serving families with kindness and respect. She has created a home that welcomes families and friends to gather and celebrate their loved one’s life in a home filled with warmth, natural sunlight with touches of a by gone era. She meets her families in the comfort of our kitchen with a cup of coffee or tea. Tammy is a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Sanford and supporter of the Animal Welfare Society in Kennebunk through adoption and financial contributions. She is also a member of the Evergreen Cemetery in Alfred and will be beginning her 3rd year of EFM – Education for Ministry, with the University of the South, in Sewanee, TN. Tammy graduated Cum Laude from the New England Institute in Boston, Class of 1988. She also attended McIntosh College, studying business management. Tammy is a licensed funeral director in Maine and New Hampshire.
Pamela grew up in Saco and graduated from Thorton Academy in 1984. After graduation, Pamela attended business school and graduated with an Associates Degree in secretarial science. Pamela worked for UNUM for eight years as a call center customer service representative; after eight years, Pamela decided to stay at home and raise her son Lucas and support her husband Marc’s career as a Merchant Marine.
For many years, Pamela always held an interest in the funeral profession and with her husband’s encouragement Pamela decided to attend American Academy McAllister Institute, graduating in 2019. Pamela’s kind, supportive and caring nature is a quality that comes natural to her when guiding families during a very difficult time, the loss of a loved. Pamela is a welcomed addition to the Autumn Green Funeral Home family and looks forward to serving our families and communities.
Ann is the senior member in age of our team and is also the most energetic. She has no reservations to keep us all in line and maintains several responsibilities here at AGFH.
Retiring from a local Community College in dual capacity as Administrative Assistant (23 years) and as College Instructor (28 years), Ann finally joined Autumn Green Funeral Home in July, 2013 as a part-time Funeral Assistant. She serves our families during visitations and many of the services here at Autumn Green. Ann has transformed the landscaping around the grounds of the funeral home. Ann is now our full-time Administrative Assistant and is the first to “jump into any projects” at the home. She has a Bachelor’s Degree, (2) Associate’s Degrees, has been a local girl her entire life, married for 52 years, has two very successful children, and four grandchildren.
Beth worked over 30 years with Dahl Chase Pathology Associates and Goodall Hospital as a medical assistant/pathology assistant. She is currently employed at Nasson Health as a referral specialist. She loves working with people and enjoys spending time at her home in Alfred with her animals, cooking, reading and helping out her neighbors. Beth often assists Autumn Green with special services, making food and goodies for the staff and families. Her banana bread is a welcomed treat.
Russ is a native of the Town of Wells and is married to Sandy, Tammy’s twin sister. He graduated from Glen Cove Christian Academy and was a firefighter/EMT at the Wells Branch Fire Association for over 25 years. Russ retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard after 38 years where he was a mechanical crane engineering tech. He and Sandy are busier than ever with their four children and seven grandchildren. Russ helps during services and often can be found helping families park during calling hours.
Jill is a lifelong resident of Alfred and has been married to her husband Gregory for 50 years and has one daughter, Heidi. She owned her own hair salon for over 20 years. Jill enjoys baking, making homemade bread for her family and friends and quilting. Jill often tends the front door for calling hours and services. She knows many of the families we serve and her smile and compassion puts them at ease.
Both Dean and Mary have been true friends and dedicated employees of AGFH. While the construction and renovation phase of AGFH was in process, Dean and Mary gave countless hours to fulfilling the dream of opening a funeral home in Alfred. In January of 2006, they both became licensed funeral attendants. They both provide a calming and professional manner when working funeral services and visitations. Dean also takes pride in the upkeep of the grounds and buildings at the funeral home.
For 20 years, Dean and Mary served on the Alfred Rescue Squad. Dean was a 30 year volunteer fireman with the town. They both enjoy square dancing, traveling and spending time with their two children and 4 grandchildren.
