Kay was born on April 9, 1945 in Beverly, Massachusetts the daughter of LeRoy and Mabel (Shattack) Eldridge.

In the early 70’s, Kay moved with her family to Biddeford and began working as a Certified Nurse’s Aide in several of the Biddeford and Saco nursing homes along with home care.

Kay had a good sense of humor and was very generous with her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting angel ornaments for each family member and knitted many sweaters and mittens to keep the kids warm during the winter. She was happiest when she visited her children and enjoyed meals together and summer cook-outs.

Kay had a love for animals, especially dogs, and she loved her Boston Terrier Ira. When her Ira joined the Rainbow Bridge for animals, Kay’s heart was warmed by getting her Abigail, a Puggle – half pug and half beagle.

Kay was a true matriarch of her large family and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her four sons, Richard Ylonen, Thomas Ylonen, Robert Ylonen, and James Ylonen; and by her daughter, Nora Bachelder; several grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul A. Littlefield.
