Rose Mary (Landry) Vallee, 72, died peacefully surrounded by love on January 14, 2019.

Rose was born on July 3, 1946 in Miramichi, NB, Canada to Edward and Alice (Gould) Landry. She was one of eight children, mother of seven, Nana of nine, and Great Nanny of one.

Rose was a dedicated nurse who thoroughly enjoyed caring for others. Her passion of being a nurse was more than admirable by all. Throughout her career she gained many friends who became more like family.

Rose was always up for an adventure! As soon as she would say, “just let me get my shoes on”, you knew a good time was in store. She enjoyed traveling, country music, going out to eat, or just simply relaxing on her swing in the yard. Being with family and laughing was her absolute favorite way to spend her time.

Rose was wise and many would go to her for advice and comfort. Her door was always opened, all were welcomed. Some of her wisest advice was, “as long as you laugh with them, they can’t laugh at you” and “always have coffee, tea, and something sweet, you never know when someone will need to talk”. And yes, Rose loved to talk!

Rose was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Alice Landry, a son Gerald (Gerry) N. Vallee, brothers Neddy Landry, Dickie Landry, Bobby Landry, Tommy Landry, and sister Linda (Landry) Fernandez.

She is fondly remembered by her children Reggie Vallee and wife Lyn, Wendy (Landry Vallee) Wasson and husband Randy, Erika Vallee, Kyle Vallee and longtime companion Kim Gignac, Krystal (Vallee) Payette and husband Jon, and Mary Beth (Vallee) Kerrigan and husband Andrew. Grandchildren Aaron Wasson and wife Morgan, Amber Wasson and fiancé Ryan Helstrom, Brandon Vallee, Austin LeBlanc-Vallee, Megan Vallee, Kody Vallee, Kiera Vallee, Dominick Payette, and Nevaeh Kerrigan. One great grandson, Hudson Helstrom. Two sisters Anne (Landry) Lewis and Darlene (Landry) Bernard. Many nieces and nephews.

A service for Rose will be held in Miramichi, NB, Canada at a later date, please contacts her children for more details.

Rose’s children would like to thank Duffy’s Tavern and Grill in Old Orchard Beach for opening a room on short notice for her family and friends to gather and remember her. To all of her doctors who cared for her, thank you. To all of her friends, thank you.
