Alan B. Goulet

A Celebration of Alan's life will be held at the convenience of the family.
Alan passed away peacefully at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough on November 27, 2019.
He was born to Wilfred H. Goulet and Yvonne Garon Goulet on May 8, 1947. He is survived by a brother Raymond Goulet of Monroe, CT; nephews, Michael A. Conley of Biddeford, Maine; Dennis D. Conley of Lakeland, FL and Stephen Goulet of Simpsonville, South Carolina; Nieces, Debra Elliott of Biddeford, Maine; Christine Sequin of London, Ontario and Patricia Loria of Oakton, VA; close cousins Ronnie Madore of Biddeford and Ben Madore, and many grand and great nieces and nephews, whom he adored; he was predeceased by a sister Joan Thomas.
Alan grew up in Biddeford, ME and as an adult moved to Old Orchard Beach, Maine. He graduated from St Louis High School in 1966. After serving in the US Navy he began his career as a pipefitter working for General Dynamics, Bath Ironworks, and retired from Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He travelled extensively throughout the country working on the universal docking systems of submarines. After retirement he worked for Napa Auto Parts.
His greatest joy in life was spending time with family – he loved watching the antics of his great nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed walking around “the beach”.
Alan boxed in his younger years and continued to be a fan – he was also a fan of the Boston Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots, Boston College and Notre Dame. A converted Thornton Fan he attended many games with his nephew Dennis.
A Celebration of Alan’s life will be held at the convenience of the family.
