Deborah Diane Delaney, 42, of Springvale, Maine passed into the next realm Saturday, January 25, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Debbie loved being outdoors in the woods and near rivers, lakes and the ocean. She loved the sun on her face and the wind in her hair. She backpacked through 49 states and attended University of Alaska and later Bentley College. She loved music and the arts. Many of her family and friends have been gifted her paintings, sculptures and mosaics.
Deb lent her strength and voice to a number of political, feminist, equal rights and environmental causes. She was a humanitarian and a woman not only of intellect, but one of action. Her moral compass was pointed in the right direction and she followed it, often putting principle over accolades. She was a free-spirited woman who loved hard and cared deeply about her convictions. She lived a big, wild, beautiful life.
Debbie’s memory will live on with her beloved life partner, Timothy Hall, her mother, Patricia Delaney of Springvale, father, Robert J. Delaney of Cheshire, CT, her sister, Coleen Delaney Brodin and husband Bill of Cheshire, CT, brothers Michael E. Delaney of Springvale and Robert W. Delaney of Sanford, nephews Russell and Eddie Brodin, and Michael Delaney. She was loved by many aunts, uncles and special cousins.
