Corinne F. Moulton, 65, died on February 13, 2020 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Corrine had fought courageously and with dignity for many years with living with Multiple Myeloma.
Corinne was born on November 19, 1954 in Saco, the daughter of Warren O. and Marion E. (McPherson) Gray. She grew up in Waterboro with her two brothers, Raymond and Earl and was a 1974 graduate of Massabesic High School. Following graduation, she drove to the “Big City” in Boston in her VW and worked for a couple of years as an administrative assistant. While living in Boston, Corinne met her future husband Ken and they soon moved back to Maine together.
Corrine worked at Sprague Electric for 20 years and then became a caregiver with Waban. It was during this time she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Corrine and her family rallied and she went to Dartmouth-Hitchcock where she had her own bone marrow was harvested and used in her treatment plan. This was 10 – 15 years ago and she maintained a healthy and active life.
Corrine was a talented cook and baker; she loved to bake specialty cookies and goodies for each family member. She even made sure those with nut allergies had their special packages. Corrine loved tending her many flower gardens and her heart was big enough to share her home with many animals; most of them adopted from local shelters. She and Ken enjoyed going camping and traveling to the mountains in New Hampshire and Vermont. When she was younger – she loved going to Wells beach. She’d spend all day soaking up the rays and talking with all the folks walking on the beach. Especially if they had a dog with them!
Corrine will be remembered for her kind and caring ways. She rooted for the underdog and would help anyone that needed a ‘hands up’ and someone to tell them they could make it! She was devoted to her family and many friends. Her smile and presence will be dearly missed; though we know her valiant fight with cancer is over. Rest easy and we will always love you. . .
Corrine is survived by her husband Kenneth Moulton; her two stepsons, Michael and Robert Baker; her brother Raymond Gray; and two nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Earl and sister-in-law Brenda Gray.
A Graveside Service will be held later in the spring and will be announced at Pine Grove South Cemetery in Waterboro.
