Colette Beverly Thibeault, 85, of Sanford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2020.

Colette was born on August 31, 1934 in Sanford, Maine to the late Edna and Philip Littlefield, Sr. of North Berwick, Maine. Colette was pre-deceased by her loving husband William R. Thibeault who passed away in 1987 and is survived by her brother Philip Littlefield, Jr. and his wife Jeannie of No. Berwick, ME and his family.

Colette leaves behind her five children; Michael Thibeault and Cathy Vachon of Wakefield, NH; Jeffrey and Elizabeth Thibeault of Sanford, ME; Kathleen Thibeault of Somersworth, NH; Lisa Cressey of St. Petersburg, FL; Karen and Peter Wentworth of Sanford, ME; her ten grandchildren; Daniel Thibeault, Michael Thibeault, Jr., Alan Thibeault, Diana Smith, Joel Thibeault, Peter Wentworth, Jr., Justin Wentworth, Kristine Cressey, Jacob Wentworth, Amanda Wentworth and eleven great-grandchildren.

We will forever adore and remember you and we will stand taller, stronger and more united, knowing you are now watching over us.

Colette spent most of her younger years raising her family and had a hand in raising her grandchildren, leaving a lasting imprint on them all. Later in life Colette volunteered for the organization called The Foster Grandparent Program in Maine as a teacher’s aide at the Margaret Chase Smith School in Sanford, ME. She received the Governor’s Award for Service and Volunteerism in 2011 from then Governor Lepage. Colette was an active member of her community and church and could be seen walking to Aroma Joe’s to meetup with friends over coffee. Colette will be forever remembered by her many friends and former students.
