Claudette G. Fournier

March 3, 1947 - November 21, 2020

Service Date:

A Graveside Service will be held later for the family.

Claudette Fournier, 73, passed away on November 21, 2020. She was another victim of the COVID pandemic.

Claudette was married to John P Fournier for 21 years and spent most of those years at a house they built on Square pond in Acton, Maine. Claudette and John dreamed of building a house on Square Pond on property that was passed down from her parents. They fulfilled that dream and lived on West Shore Drive for 15 years. Recently they moved to The Newton Center as her health declined.

Claudette suffered from many ailments, but it never stopped her from enjoying the simple things. A lesson we should all remember. She loved animals and had many pets through the years. She enjoyed swimming and being outdoors. Visits to Old Orchard Beach, spending the day on the sand, watching the waves, and sharing Pier French Fries were a highlight of many summer days.

She was born to Joseph and Gloria Remillard and lived in Biddeford where she attended St. Andre’s High School. She went to York County Community College, studied food preparation, and worked for many years at hospitals across southern Maine.

She is survived by her husband John Fournier of Acton, Stepson Eric Fournier (Kathy) of St. Louis, Stepdaughter Jane Archambault (Dan) of Acton, Grandchildren Cole Fournier, Caspar Fournier, Jacquelyn Archambault and Emily Archambault and her dear Cousin John Cote of Lyman.

A Graveside Service will be held later for the family.

With Claudette’s love of animals, please consider donating to the Animal Welfare Society, P.O. Box 43, West Kennebunk, ME 04094.

The Autumn Green Funeral Home is respectfully handling arrangements.
