Jennifer Lee Hussey, 47, beloved daughter, granddaughter and niece died unexpectedly at Southern Maine Healthcare on January 1, 2021.

Jennifer was born in Sanford, on August 24,1973, the daughter of Kristine (Bedell) Hussey. From the moment Jennifer was born, Kristine reflected that she was the happiest child. Mom realized just how special her little one was, caring for her daughter 24/7 was a blessing and the highlight of Kristine’s life.

On many grocery shopping trips, Jennifer often gravitated to Cauliflower, perhaps it was the shape, texture, or color that Jennifer enjoyed, so on many occasions the specific vegetable made its way into the grocery cart. As her mother, Kristine was her strongest advocate, she never hesitated to research activities or programs for her daughter, while attending Waban and spending time in the Life Works Program where Jennifer built many friendships. Jennifer always shared her joyous dimply smile with all that she met. Her loving personality, strong hugs, and kind nature warmed people’s hearts.

Jennifer loved many things, especially Marylou Henner; she was never without Marylou Henner’s cookbook. She enjoyed her coffee, often asking guests if they wanted another cup of coffee. Jennifer enjoyed music and her favorites were, Barbara Streisand; Barry Manilow; Dobie Gray; Captain & Tennille and Joe Cocker. Although she was primarily non-verbal, she memorized and often sang her favorite tunes, Weekend in New England, Drift Away, Muskrat Love to her family and friends. But always her favorite song You Are So Beautiful she with sing with her Aunt Jayne.

Jennifer enjoyed her quiet time at home with her mom and together shared time working on puzzles and watching game shows including Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, along with the daily soap, The Young and the Restless. For 47 years Jennifer and her mom faced many challenges together. Jennifer was a trooper and faced her health issues with a joyful spirit, infectious smile and with laughter. Her love for the outdoors allowed her to enjoy bird watching, tossing stones and her back-yard squirrels.

She is lovingly survived by her mother Kristine Hussey of Springvale; Uncle Rich Nason and wife Jayne of Shapleigh; Aunt Bon Mathieu of Sanford; Uncle Bob Bedell and life partner Crystal of Sanford; Uncle Dan Bedell and wife Linda of Windham; Uncle Bud Bedell of Sanford; many cousins and her caregiver Brandee Mowatt.
