Roger K. Smith, 78, of Waterboro passed away peacefully at his home on June 6, 2021. His wife Linda of 57 years and his daughters were by his side.
Roger was a kindhearted soul and a fun-loving man. (Everyone had a friend in Roger) He was a man of great integrity. As a youngster, Roger worked on the farm and was committed to seeing the job through. His favorite job was working as a custodian at Bonny Eagle High School, where he loved interacting with the kids. It is hard to tell who had more fun – the kids or Roger!
Roger took care of his home and family. He had a special fondness for animals, and “Chief” his dalmatian was his trusted friend by his side. Roger enjoyed fishing and spending the day out on the lake with his daughters. He loved their home in Waterboro and being a part of the community.
Roger was predeceased by his father, Russell Smith, his mother “Kitty” Smith, brother Robert Smith, brother Russell Smith, Jr., sister Shirley Smith and his dear grandmother, Daisy.
Roger is lovingly survived by his wife Linda Smith, daughters Holly Smith and Tina Narciso, sister Sylvia Reddy, and his childhood friends Robert “Bobbie” Smith, Dean Farwell and many other family and friends. . . And all the fish that got away!
