A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on August 14, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Matthew Church, 19 Dora Lane, Limerick Maine followed by a graveside service at Highland Annex Cemetery Rt 5, Limerick.
MEDICI, Grace Z. Age 95, of Limerick, Maine passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on August 7, 2021, after a brief illness. Grace was born on October 3, 1925, in Southborough, MA to Margaret (Morris) and Charles Sarajian. She was married in 1948 to the late (1989) Angelo Medici and together they raised their family of nine children at 56 Allen Street, Scituate, MA. They retired to Limerick, ME and spent many years enjoying their home in Lake Arrowhead before Grace moved to Carroll Lane next to her son John and his family.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Medici; and her oldest son, Paul Medici, of Bradenton, FL and Plymouth, MA in 2019. She will be sadly missed by her children and their families: Angela and Larry Jolliffe of Palm Harbor, FL; Victoria Hastings and the late Edward Hastings of Lakeland, FL; Charles and Karen Medici of N. Scituate, MA; Allan and AnnaMarie Medici of Indialantic, FL; Michael and Mary Ellen Medici of Fayetteville, GA; Elizabeth and Alan Baillie of Belgrade Lakes, ME; David and Leanne Medici of South Portland, ME; John and Diane Medici of Limerick, ME; and Daughter-in-law Debbie Medici of Plymouth, MA.
Grace loved raising her large family and will fondly be remembered as a wonderful and selfless mother, always putting other’s needs before her own. She was a fantastic cook, avid reader and had a beautiful collection of lighthouses that often served as conversation starters for those who visited. She like nothing more than to hear “Who wants to play Scrabble?” She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her generosity, kindness, and great resilience. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 11 am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 19 Dora Lane, Limerick, ME., followed by a graveside service at Highland Annex Cemetery Rt 5, Limerick.
Donations to honor Grace may be made to St. Jude Children Research Center, her favorite charity.
